PHIFER® TUFFSCREEN
Phifer® TuffScreen is a heavy-duty, vinyl-coated polyester insect screening that is ideal for use in high traffic areas. Yes, the most common purpose of screening is to keep most bugs out.

TuffScreen® heavy-duty mesh screening is made from vinyl-coated polyester, making it tear and puncture resistant, and one of the most durable screen options on the market.
It is three times stronger than standard fiberglass even though it installs just like any regular screening and won’t need to be replaced nearly as often.
PHIFER® SUNSCREEN
Phifer® Sunscreen: Solar Window Fabric Blocks the Sun, Not the View. It is a woven vinyl-coated fiberglass screening manufactured for the primary use of reducing heat loss in winter and reducing solar heat gain in the summer.
SunScreen is easily installed on any type and size of window and also performs as insect screening to keep bugs out.
The screen fabric absorbs and dissipates up to 70 percent of the sun’s heat and glare before it reaches the window, keeping any room shaded and cooler in the warmer months.
How Long Does Phifer® Screening Last?
Pool screen's average lifespan depends on several factors:
the kind of screening, the quality of the screen, the color of the pool cage frame, the quality of the installation, the amount of exposure the screen has to the sun, and the amount of screen maintenance the owner performs.

Artisan Wire screens is the term used to describe a low-quality grade of screening manufactured in Asia. Some screening companies offer lower prices of screen installations is because the screen they use are Artisan Wire instead of higher quality screening like Phifer.
While the initial price tag may cost you less, the Artisan Wire only has a lifespan of about 3-4 years, which is less than half that of Phifer.
